Rhys was drawn to Brindle & Green by the diversity of projects we work on, particularly the wide range of sites in terms of both size and location — something he hasn’t previously experienced within the field. He is excited by the opportunity to encounter and work with a broader variety of species across different habitats.
Coming from a background working with smaller companies as a seasonal, Rhys is also looking forward to the wider professional connections and collaborative opportunities that Brindle & Green offers across ecology, contracting and associated sectors.
Rhys is eager to get out onto site and begin supporting Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) duties and preliminary ecological surveys, gaining valuable hands-on experience across projects. Alongside fieldwork, he has a strong interest in QGIS mapping and is keen to help develop and refine Brindle & Green’s internal templates and protocols to support greater efficiency across the team.
Over the next 12 months, Rhys hopes to progress into an Assistant Ecologist role and begin taking responsibility for his own projects. He also aims to work towards becoming a qualifying or higher member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), while developing a specialist focus within the profession. Through continued experience with ECoW and a wide range of survey types, his goal is to build the confidence and expertise needed to independently deliver surveys across the full scope of ecological work.
We’re delighted to have Rhys join the team and look forward to supporting his development as he grows his experience within the industry.

We’re delighted to celebrate a fantastic achievement within our contracting team, as Danny and Matt have successfully completed their SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) qualification.
We are delighted to announce Joe Gilmour’s promotion to Director at Brindle & Green. Joe joined Brindle & Green in the spring of 2018 - in his early days he threw himself into anything the company needed but spent his first season on ecology survey work and helping with logistics.
