We are delighted to announce that Victoria Halford will be stepping up as Head of Ecology (maternity) while our current Head of Ecology, Kinzie Clapham, is on maternity leave from next month.
Vic has already proven herself to be an outstanding ecologist and is using the exposure in management and business she had had in recent years to drive herself into this new challenge.
She is expertly supported in her role by Technical Director, Dr Lucie Sweet, MD, Neil Crofts and Associate, Ellen Marshall. Neil Crofts commented ‘Vic is a rare talent, and she holds all of the skills to become a strong leader in her field. That said, our ecology division is now large and so it’s important the senior hierarchy at B&G support her in the next stage of her progression’.
To further strengthen the team, we are also pleased to share that Byron Humphries will be moving up to Principal Ecologist. Byron’s progression reflects both his expertise and the continued growth of the Ecology team, and he will be working closely with Vic to provide support and leadership over the coming months.
With Vic’s strong leadership and Byron’s step up, the Ecology team is well-placed to continue delivering the high-quality service our clients expect, while maintaining the supportive and innovative culture that Brindle & Green is known for.
Please join us in congratulating Vic and Byron on their well-deserved progression and in wishing Kinzie all the very best as she begins this exciting new chapter. Kinzie is back in her role in a 4 day a week capacity from autumn 2026.
We’re delighted to welcome Megan Derrick into a full-time role as Graduate Ecologist after an outstanding season with us.
