You may have seen earlier in the year that B&G now has Bee & G – our own honey brand. To bolt onto that, we organised for the entire company to attend bee keeping workshops to learn all about it! The sessions included an insightful introduction to the life of bees and the inner workings of a hive. Fully suited up, we were led across one of the Radbourne Estate’s fields to a peaceful, shaded area beneath the trees where the hives are located. The hum of bee activity was already in the air. We were able to look at frames – it was mesmerizing to see the colony so active and organised. In one hive, we were lucky enough to spot the queen, clearly marked with a coloured dot and surrounded by her devoted workers.

The highlight? Tasting the freshest honey imaginable – straight off the frame of one of our very own hives. A truly unforgettable treat. Throughout the year, we receive seasonal batches of honey from our hives – a sweet reminder of the vital work these tiny pollinators do, and the importance of supporting their habitat. This experience not only deepened our appreciation for bees but also reinforced the importance of environmental stewardship in everything we do at Brindle & Green as well as giving the staff a well-deserved experience!
