Seasonal Assistants – Ecology

Brindle & Green offer seasonal, paid work experience opportunities across the UK between April and September each year. The role is fully flexible and is mainly focused around the delivery of bat emergence/re-entry surveys and GCN surveys. The role allows for on site experience where you will be guided by our full time ecologists. We provide you with a CPD log that we sign upon completion of a survey/task to help you build a record of experience.

Training sessions are provided in early spring and attendance to these are compulsory to be eligible for surveys this season.

Senior Ecologist(s)

We’re on the look out for senior ecologists to join our Derby office.

A good level in Phase 1 surveying and reporting is essential and a Class 2 bat licence is desirable.

You will hold an appropriate level of membership with CIEEM.

You must be able to demonstrate experience of having held a full time consultancy role including time within an office environment.

Package includes; circa 47 days a year holiday including bank holidays, company mobile, laptop, business expenses, first aid training and training budget, professional membership fees.

We operate monthly training days that sometimes include practical conservation tasks, lunchtime CPD including internal and external training.

Ecologist(s)

We’re on the look out for ecologists to join our team in Derby.

You will have experience of presence/absence surveys for GCN, bats, reptiles and badgers as a minimum.

Bat building assessments and basic PEA’s will form the basis of your early work with us whilst you develop a level of competency in Phase 1 surveying.

Species licences are not an essential component of this role but a commitment to additional learning outside of your working week in an attempt to secure licences is considered desirable.

You will either hold or demonstrate your ability to hold an appropriate level of membership of CIEEM.
